Tammy Hoffman is a Clinic LPN for UP Health System – Bell.

What is your role at UPHS – Bell?
I am a Clinic LPN for UP Health System – Bell.

What was your inspiration for getting into Healthcare?
My grandmother and mother both were nurses and worked at Bell in the 1950s and 1960s. I wanted to follow in their footsteps.

What’s a typical day like for you? What is it like working in this field?
I love working as a nurse and providing care either wellness or sick. The days vary day to day, with sick visits to wellness. I am also here to answer questions for the patients.

I have been working at UPHS-Bell for 11 years and I have always been employed as a Clinic LPN.

What are some of the big changes you have experienced in this position?
I would say the COVID pandemic. With the daily changes of regulations, guidelines, and treatment we have to make sure to stay on top of those changes.

What are some of your interests outside of work? What is your favorite local gem?
I love to do anything with crafts- sew, paint, knit, etc. I also enjoy visiting my grandchildren that live in Wisconsin.

What do you enjoy most about working at UPHS – Bell?
The care we provide to our patient’s is amazing, and working with a great group of providers, nurses, and receptionists is very special- I enjoy every minute of it.
